For Girls Only! Girls-Only Friday Coding Nights! Ages 10 to 18 or younger by request. $25 per student and includes pizza and drinks. Each month, we will talk a bit about what programming is, introduce a new programming language or project Scratch, Python, Lego NXT Robotics, Java and other languages. We will also introduce great on-line programming resources such as Code.org and Computer Science and Coding Before College. Visit our Suggested Reading page for more information. Instructors and mentors will include girls in high school and college and women professionals with careers at companies or in teaching, but also some boys in high school and college or men working in computer science careers. We recommend bringing a laptop so coding software can be loaded onto it when possible and so students can continue learning and playing with coding at home, and can show family and friends what they are doing.
