Offered the week of August 5-9 from 9:30 am – 12 pm for students entering grades 7 – 12, or by permission
Explore and become fluent in the world of FL Studio, a professional-level Digital Audio Workspace (DAW) used by producers and music makers around the world. Students will gain a basic understanding of how to navigate, configure, and operate FL Studio, as well as how to create electronic tunes or beats using the software. FL Studio is used in the music industry by beginners to Grammy Award winners, such as Avicii and Alan Walker. Students will learn how to utilize different digital instruments such as synths, samples, loops, audio/MIDI effects, and drum patterns to create their own music tracks. FL Studio offers an unlimited demo version which allows full use of the software but prohibits saving and exporting projects, which students can download on their home computers. FL Studio also offers a student discount.
