Build Your First App with AI help in 2 Hours – No Prior Experience Required

In this discovery session, Ernie Fernandez will guide us through an introduction to “AI Vibe Coding” —teaming up with AI to build our own prototype personality quiz apps that we can customize and share with friends. Ernie will show us how coding with AI can actually be fun and highly productive.
Students will learn the basics of what AI Vibe Coding is all about, using Claude Sonnet 4 as a coding partner to build a prototype personality quiz app. Vibe Coding represents a new approach to programming where developers communicate with artificial intelligence through natural conversation rather than memorizing complex programming language (syntax). This method allows students to focus on creative problem-solving and application design while the AI handles technical implementation details.
Registration restrictions:
Grades 9 -12 (younger only by request and permission), college students and adults. Some familiarity with coding in any language will be helpful but no prior coding experience is required. No matter what your background, you will come away with valuable insights to AI and its relevance to your world.
