Learn Music Composition and Production

Explore and become fluent in the world of Ableton Live 11, a professional-level Digital Audio Workspace (DAW). Students will gain a basic understanding of how to navigate, configure, and operate Ableton Live 11, as well as how to create electronic tunes or beats using the software. Ableton Live 11 is used in the music industry by beginners to Grammy Award winners. Students will learn how to utilize different digital instruments such as synths, samples, loops, audio/MIDI effects, and drum patterns to create their own music tracks. We hope to include adding tracks from students’ own instruments. Ableton offers a 90 day free trial of the software as well as an unlimited demo version which allows full use of the software but prohibits saving and exporting projects. Ableton also offers a student discount.
